Hernia: Hernias need to be repaired. The umbilical hernia is the least urgent of these to consider. But, five years is an unusual amount of time to chance complications.

Pregnant Hernias: The risk with hernias is that your intestine may get stuck in the hernia and require emergency surgery. Getting pregnant may cause your hernia to increase in size. The last thing you want is to need emergency surgery while you are pregnant. I would recommend you get your hernia fixed.

Yes: If you didn't have any problems during your last pregnancy with your umbilical hernia, you probably won't have them with a subsequent hernia. Pregnancy tends to enlarge them and the larger an umbilical hernia is, the less likely it is to cause a serious health problem like entrapment of the intestines.
