UA w/Microscopic XM: Sounds like time for a real evaluation: a good physical exam. This appears to be a dip stick test. Leukocyte esterase is an enzyme from white cells ; nitrates bacterial waste. A proper urinanalysis w/microscopic exam ; bacterial culture will help. Sterile pyuria (no organisms w/white cells in the urine) can be many things: analgesic abuse, ureaplasma, tb, hsv, autoimmune ds, endocarditis.....

Probably: Pyuria(white blood cell in urine) with fever and urinary symptoms is highly suggestive of uti.
