Type II diabetes: There is a strong heritable component of diabetes, especially type ii. I don't know what symptoms you are currently experiencing, but the classic ones are polyuria, polydipsia, nocturia, and polyphagia. If you have symptoms, you should be screened with a hemoglobin a1c blood test or fasting plasma glucose test; especially if you are obese, or have additional risk factors besides family history.
