Probably not: Unless you felt the pomade burn your scalp i doubt it is the cause of your hair loss. You may have something called alopecia areata.You need to see a dermatologist to have the area examined and to see if you need a skin biopsy of the scalp where the hair is missing. Recommended treatment can then be started.
