Could be: Without knowing all the meds you take, it certainly could be a side effect. Several medications for depression etc., can cause weight gain. Thyroid disorders can also cause weight gain, so it best to follow-up with your dr. To get and evaluation of your weight gain. Best wishes.

Perhaps, in part...: Weight gain must mean you are taking in more calories than you are expending; so doofus a very careful calorie count including every morsel you take in. There are some medications, particularly beta-blockers and some antidepressants, that can lead to weight gain. So, you may need to have a check with your physician, and a nutritionist.
