A member asked:

I am pregnant and my tsh is 4.5. is that an issue?

No: All lab results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the test is usually in the best position to do that. This result needs to be looked at along with results for free T4 and t3 (liothyronine).
