Half life: 20-40 hrs: This means that the drug is "active" (having the effects - both desired and undesired) for that long a time. So, if you take it every day, it is never "out of your system". Talk with the prescribing doctor if you want to try something different - never stop medications on your own, as some have to be tapered off and you need to be monitored. Good luck.
