Depends on reason: Epilim or sodium valproate is a frequent part of the treatment of a patient with a brain tumor particularly if there is a concern for seizures. It seems from the information that the 2 yo is the one with the brain tumor? This is a relatively safe and commonly used medication for patients with seizures and is a very effective anti-epileptic agent. Your physician can check for any side effects.
