Family history : Family history of premature coronary artery disease (male before age 55 and female before age 65) increases risk of coronary artery disease however this risk is not incorporated in conventional risk calculations. Start with checking lipid (cholesterol) panel, blood pressure, blood sugar, maintain a healthy body weight, keep active with regular exercise, avoid smoking, and a heart healthy diet.
