Several things: Approved uses our schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Off label uses are for the stabilization of certain types of personality disorders, intermittent explosive disorder, and sometimes as an appetite stimulant in severe forms of anorexia nervosa. It can occasionally be prescribed for autistic spectrum disorders and an augmentation strategy for intractable depressive disorders when all else has failed.Hope this helps. Best wishes.

FDA indications: Zyprexa has indications for the the treatment of schizophrenia, acute treatment of mixed & manic episodes of bipolar I disorder, & maintenance treatment of bipolar I disorder.
