Eustachian tube: Decongestants like sudafed are a good way to alleviate the problem. Sometimes a mucous thinner called Guaifenesin can be of additional help. This can be purchased over the counter. If you still are having difficulties, you need to see an ENT doctor for other medical options. You may need a hearing test, as well.
