A member asked:

My question is while taking the antibiotic to treat gonorrhea...does the body still continue to pass the mucus membrane to get it out of the body?

Having Gonorrhea: An infection takes time to get better. I often see my patients become symptom free from their treatment for gonorrhea (which now a days has to be a shot and not with pills) in 48 to 72 hours.

Unclear: I'm not sure what you mean. The antibiotic kills the bacteria. The immune system takes care of clearing dead organisms.
