Varies: A 16 month old might be bruised from toddling around. If it is a "bruise" that has been there since birth, it is probably a blue grey macule (formerly called a "mongolian spot"). These are harmless and fade over time. If you are concerned about bruising or easy bleeding, see your baby's doctor.

BRUISE: Where is the location? Your child must be walking by now. They easily fall and hit something. The discoloration is called ecchymosis, blood accumulation under the skin.It can be serious if head injury otherwise removed by warm compress application. Consult your md. Thanks.
