Time to try some-: Thing different. I would recommend a couple of things. The first would be to ask your doctor to check to see if you are a rapid metabolizer of the drug. The doctor can order a cytochrome p450-2d6 iso-enzyme test to find this out. The next option would be to switch to vyvanse, (lisdexamfetamine) and this may be easier to convince your insurance company to pay for if you are indeed a rapid metabolizer through that enzyme system. Otherwise your doctor certainly knows the other medications that could be substituted. Best wishes for a happy and healthy holiday season.
