May not be allergyl: Hives are not necessarily due to allergy. In many cases we find no cause for hives. One out of five people may have one episode of hives. At his point, if you have no other symptoms, i would suggest that you take an over-the-counter antihistamine such as fexofenadine or Cetirizine at dinner for 1 week. If hives continue, make an appointment with an allergist-immunologist.
