1-2 days: Fortunately Cogentin (benztropine) has a short half life so it does not hang around the body very long. However, recovering from its central nervous system effects in terms of delirium may take a bit longer. One or two days would be my estimate. This is provided that there are no other underlying causes of the condition. Best wishes and i sure hope that she gets well soon. I know how distressing it can be for both the family and the patient to go through this.I hope you have blessed holidays.

Hrs to days: Cogentin (benztropine) is a rather archaic drug and can cause delirium, confusion, and both hallucinations and delusions in the elderly. It's use in parkinson's disease is quite rare these days. Typically, the side effects should depart within a few days at most, but if persistent and not resolving, other causes should be sought including other meds causing reactions.
