A member asked:

If you are experiencing shoulder pain from heart issues, how long would it take to progress into heart attack?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Shoulder issues: Most shoulder issues have nothing to do with the heart. When shoulder pain is caused by myocardial ischemia, it does indicate the possibility of a future heart attack. If the heart problem isn't treated, the likelihood of an event is higher than if it is aggressively treated. Timing prediction relates to the frequency and severity of the symptoms. This should be discussed with your doctor.
