Not unusual: You may be getting some movement even though it is splinted and therefore will get some pain. Remember you broke a bone.

Fracture healling: Takes 6-8 weeks typically. While a fracture may be stable enough at 4 weeks to go into splint and to start motion of the adjacent joints, it is not fully healed.
