Anti-TB Treatment:: Your father is taking rifampicin (rimactane) capsule along with other 3 drugs. Rifampicin is metabolized in the liver, excreted in the bile and urine; can cause orange urine, sweat and tears. These are normal, not to worry. Side effects can be: influenza like symptoms, itching, rash, low white cell count, joint pain and hepatotoxicity. But the benefit is more than the side effects.
