Options: Firstly, you should apply any acne medicine 30 minutes after cleansing and no more than a pea-sized drop in total. If irritation is still occurring then you may want to not use benzoyl peroxide. Gel products are drying, and creams are less. Another option is to cleanse, apply a non comedogenic, oil-free moisturizer like cereve lotion, then wait 30 minutes and apply your acne product over that.
