Potentially yes: Firstly, if you do not have adequate energy to perform your daily tasks, it is likely that there is something else wrong - diet, exercise, other health problems, and that the way to fix that is to fix that. Secondly, they are mostly caffeine, and excessive caffeine is not good for us, and can cause anxiety, raise blood pressure and pulse, cause insomnia. Very high doses can cause serious harm.

Depends on your: Health. Energy drinks are almost never good for you. However, how bad they are for you depends on your state of health. If you have any heart, stomach, psychiatric, or on any other medications, you may want to discuss it with your primary before use.

Use in moderation: As with all energy drinks/dietary supplements, you need to look at the ingredients and be sure you have no allergies or contraindications to using the product such as heart condition or sensitivity to stimulants or other medications that could interact with the product.

Depends...: ...on what is in them. Many contain huge amounts of caffeine, which can be dangerous in overdose. Ephedra (ma huang) is another common ingredient that contains ephedrine (ephedrine sulfate) and pseudoephedrine (ephedrine sulfate), both powerful and potentially dangerous central nervous system stimulants. Ephedra is currently banned in the US.
