Neuro-otology: An evaluation by a neuro-otologist or balance specialist may be helpful. These are specialists who can check the vestibular centers in the brain. The vestibular centers are responsible for determining the location of the head/body in space and help with your equilibrium. There are specialized tests that are done that can determine the nature and degree of the balance disorder.
