Talk to your psychiatrist.: Risperidone can cause the symptoms that you are experiencing. It is not necessarily a reason to stop the medication. The emotional flatness can sometimes be relieved by medication called Cogentin or by Benadryl (diphenhydramine) and the sexual difficulties are likely due to an increase in a hormone called prolactin which can also be managed by an endocrinologist working with your psychiatrist together. Or, they may opt to switch to a different medication depending upon your circumstances. Best wishes.
