HIV Testing: If you think you have acute retroviral syndrome (mono like illness w/fever >38c, sore throat, swollen lymph nodes, red rash on body) you should go to an er for testing ; treatment. An er can test you for HIV but it is not a good use of health care $$s. Your primary care doc or your department of health can test you ; you will not tie up vital services needed for acutely ill persons.
