A member asked:

Can a hearing aid work for presbycusis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See ENT person: The condition should be evaluated as soon as possible with an ENT specialist, to r/o the various causes of the condition, in the elderly. If there are no specific causes the ENT person would recommend a good audiologist, who in turn will figure out what type of hearing prostheseis would be helpful. Avoid loud noises! face people when they are speaking to you1 good luck.
