Perhaps: During the winter, the usual outdoor allergens such as tree, grass and weed pollens are not present (except in southern states where some trees and grasses may pollinate during the winter months (mountain cedar) and grasses may have long pollen seasons. In the northern states, indoor allergens (dust mite, animal dander, feather pillows) can be a problem during the winter.
