Many possibilities: What is the absolute count? It may be low yet still within the normal limits. Causes of low lymphocyte count, not in any particular order are: active tb, uremia, lymphomas, hodgkin's disease, autoimmune disorders, immune deficiency syndromes, chemotherapeutics, glucocorticoids, malnutrition and more. It would be prudent to consult the doctor who ordered the test.
