Not Addictive: Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is not addictive drug.But some people who take it daily to sleep may have hard time sleeping when they stop as they can not sleep without it.Some people do consider that as an addiction.If one has that problem they should consult their doctor and can be weaned of it gradually.
