Likely: Asthma is when your airways are more inflammed and sensitive than regular airways. You may have a milder form of asthma as well as allergies which can cause your asthma to flare up during certain seasons of the year. As long as the air can easily move through your airways despite having that inflammation, then you would not be noticing your asthma.

Check with allergist: Some people do enjoy remission in their asthma but a good % of those still have mild airway inflammation despite lack of symptoms. The only sure way to tell is to check with your allergist whether you still have asthma or not since the lung function may well be abnormal when one notices no symptoms.

Likely: True asthma is a lifelong issue that has a great variation from person to person and often variation in symptoms within the same person. You can go through periods (years) with few or no symptoms & then see a return. You & your doc should have a plan on when to followup and when to add meds. You should always keep a rescue inhaler on hand if you want to avoid the ER.
