Not curable, but...: Prophylactic therapy is recommended for the chronic and disabling migraine. Some migraine patients are prone to medication overuse headaches. Chronic > 15 days/mo once a diagnosis of migraine has been made, effective involves three specific strategies: 1) patient education. 2) nonpharmacological management. 3) pharmacological (medical) management.
