Depends: That depends on which parasites you're worried about. Intestinal parasites are diagnosed by stool ova and parasite exam. Other parasites require other tests. However, when a patient asks me to 'test for parasites' in general, i worry about delusional parasitosis, a psychiatric disorder in which people believe they're infected with parasites without any evidence.
