A member asked:

In what way is fungal encephalitis different from viral encephalitis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Encephalitis: There is a big difference between the two as in one the cause is a fungal infection which can be extremely serious. The other is a viral infection and these are likely to be easier to treat with IV medications.
