See your doc: Chronic cough is defined as cough for more than 4 to 6 weeks. There are 4 primary reasons for chronic cough in adults including asthma ge acid reflux and post nasal drip from allergies or chronic sinus infection. Don't bother with cough suppressants. See a cough specialist such as an allergist or pulmonologist to get a proper diagnosis and specific treatment.
