My fear of hiv symptoms is making me depressed, what to do?

Anything is possible: If you have engaged in any type of potentially dangerous sexual activity then you may be at risk. I would recommend that you put your mind at ease by going to your doctor or the local public health department and get checked out. If the depression persists in spite of negative testing then please see a psychiatrist for treatment of the depression. Psychotherapy would also be indicated. Best wishes for a happy healthy and safe holiday season.

HIV is Hard to Get: Gosh. I wish you were here in my office and we could go one by one over your list of reasons you fear hiv. If you have HIV infection and do not have a good HIV specialist yet, here is where to find one: http://www.Aahivm.Org. If you have HIV and are on appropriate treatment there will or most likely will be full suppression of the virus and no 'symptoms' or consequences of hiv.
