Normal scar healing: Scars usually undergo a number of changes in color during the healing process. In general, the older a person is, the longer it takes for a scar to heal and the less likely it is to completely resolve. In adults, it usually takes about 2 years before the scar will look like it will in the long run. If there is no increased tenderness or redness around the scar, you should not worry.
