Vaginal health and oral health, is there a correlation?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Oral vaginal health: Interesting question. Not sure if it's been studied. Many systemic diseases effect both mouth and vagina. For example, some women with sjogrens suffer from both dry mouth and vagina. I suspect a mouth that has shifted more acidic due to system probs so has the vagina. Prob sets them both up for fungal. Maybe similar from pain meds? Blood pressure meds?
