Managing pain: 1. Limit the stimulus: sweets, cold, hot, pressure? 2. Otc pain medications such as advil, motrin, aleve (naproxen) or what you would normally take for a headache. 3. Don't wait to start treatment: make it a higher priority! work out time constraints, money issues, or finding another dentist?
