Immunity:: Def: the ability of an organism to resist a particular infection or toxin by the action of specific antibodies or sensitized white blood cells. Tooth decay cannot be stopped by your immune system. Good oral hygiene, eating healthy, and visiting your dentist 2x year will help minimize problems. Yes, there are people who are buried that have no cavities and all their teeth, and others with no teeth.

Not yet: Since i graduated from dental school ( a very, very, very long time ago), I have been hearing about research to develop a vaccine to prevent tooth decay. As of today, it does not exist. Good oral hygiene and a diet that does not promote tooth decay are your two best methods of preventing tooth decay. Oh well, we will have to work daily on achieving that goal ourselves.
