No: Not in the true meaning of the term addiction. Addiction is more than physical dependence, but oral contraceptives do not cause any kind of dependence. However, use of hormones does result in compensatory changes in the woman's body (hypothalamus, pituitary gland and ovaries) which may take some time to get back to where they were before. This happens with hormone meds like cortisol or thyroid.
