Patella fracture: Work release depends on your ability to do light duty. The fracture will not heal for 6 weeks. If you do sedentary work, you may be able to work during that healing time. Otherwise, you have to wait at least 6 weeks, get a xray, check on the healing of the fracture, and discuss your recovery with your surgeon.
