Can fmd and sle occur together? if so, is one possibly the cause for the other? if not, other pos. diagnosis?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes they can: Fibromyalgia can occur secondary to almost any disease causing pain. It certainly can coexist with lupus or other diseases. As a caution we all have seen low concentration of ANA tests in many patients with fibromyalgia. This does not mean that they have lupus as we'll. If there is any doubt speak to your rheumatologist.
