Vaginal estrogen: Vaginal dryness is common after menopause due the lack of hormones. Using vaginal Estrace (estradiol) or vagifem can help with localized dryness.

Estrogen cream: The vagina is dependent upon estrogen to avoid atrophy, dryness, and loss of elasticity. All of these need to be treated to make intercourse enjoyable. All of these are reverted back to normal with estrogen. The fastest way is to use a vaginal estriol cream. Oral estrogen, or estrogen patches will take care of the problem long term. This is only one of the tremendous benefits of taking estrog.
