No, if baby's fine: If a baby is all fine, parents can find a private doctor who can carefully clean the genital area, stick on a urine bag, wait to collect the fresh pee, separate it into the proper containers, and send it to the lab. If negative, the result is valid. If positive with a single bacteria, the result may still be valid. If the result is uncertain, a catheter can be used to repeat the urine culture.
