Varies: There are a number of conditions other than yeast infections and std's that can cause vaginal itching including allergic reactions to soaps, perfumes, and laundry detergents as well as medical conditions such as lichen sclerosus et atrophicus, padget's disease of the vulva, dysplasia, and cancer. If you have persistent symptoms, it may require a biopsy for definitive diagnosis.
