Common complaint: Generally this is not a sign or symptom of something else going on in an otherwise healthy young female. Rarely it could indicate vascular or neurologic problems, but without other symptoms not likely.

Cold hands: A young woman with chronically cold hands, fingers and/or toes could have raynaud's syndrome. It is a condition of transiently reduced blood flow to the fingers, often precipitated by exposure to cold. Sometimes the fingers turn white or blue or deep red, and when warmed up they return to normal. Occasionally raynaud's can be associated with other medical conditions, like autoimmune diseases.
