See a doctor: Anxiety can make your heart rate go up; however, you should be evaluated to determine any other causes including heart conditions. Sometimes rapid heart rate can be caused by withdrawal from certain meds. Also, low or high blood pressure, a thyroid condition, smoking, caffeine use or other drugs can cause a rapid rate. You should be checked for an arrhythmia of the heart.
