Many possibilities: I don't have enough information to provide a good answer. How long has the pain been present? Any history of injury? What worsens the pain? What makes it better? What diagnosis have you been given? How severe is the pain? What lab tests have been done? We need more info, please. Kind regards, pamela svendsen, md.

I had a abdomen ct scan performed for kidney stones and a relative change in sigmoid caliber was noted, with no evidence of mass lesion. A follow up colonoscopy was recommended which did not reveal any findings. Are there common explanations/causes?
Would a CT Scan of the abdomen/pelvic show a colon tumor? Or are those not visible on a CT scan? Normal CT scan... not a virtual colonoscopy one.
