Facial pain : We need more info to guide her and make recommendations this could be related to a burn or infection i would be seen by your pcp.

Many causes: The common cause would be from an irritant used on her face recently. Does this affect only one side of her face? If so, one must consider shingles for which she should see her doctor re. Some medication for it asap. It may also be a neurologic issue but her doctor can decide on whether such a referral is indicated.
