A dangerous behavior: Must recommend against drinking urine. It can cause dehydration through sodium ; minerals in the urine. Any sense of quenching thirst would be transient and then the problem would worsen. Under no circumstances should you drink another individual’s urine.

Diabetes: You should not be urinating 5 times a night, call your doctor as soon as possible to learn what medical condition is causing your symptoms. In the interem don't drink caffeine or alcohol in the evening and reduce liquids in general in the evening. You really need to find out the source of your distress. Best.

A 49-year-old member asked:
What restores urine flow in a 45 yr old male?

Dr. Weber Chuang answered

Alpha blocker: Alpha blocker medications relax the muscles around the prostate allowing the urine to flow normally. Finasteride or similar medications can help shrink the prostate tissue to improve urinary flow. This assumes that the bladder is functioning normally and that the problem with urine flow is obstruction secondary to an enlarged prostate. A visit with your doctor can help.

Depends: Interpreting urine samples is not an exact science as there are multiple variables that affect the analysis. The urine must be cleanly "caught" in a sterile manner. Furthermore, other factors such as prior surgical history and bladder catheterization may affect the results. Generally, a urine culture with greater than 100,000 flora is consider an infection but this varies case to case.
