Broken fill or decay: It is not good to have a sensation of chemical taste in your mouth. If you have a sedative filling that is of short-term, or temporary purpose, the seal on the tooth may have been broken and you are tasting the leak. It is also likely that you have a cavity. The rot in the tooth will taste metallic or chemical. See a dentist to find out if you have not had your teeth checked in the last 6 month.

Almonds: Sometimes they go bad, and can taste medicinal. I'm sure it did no harm. You spit it out. Follow up by rinsing out with water. Af you have any untoward symptoms, report them to your GP, but probably there's nothing to worry about.
